The Pavilions Himalayas is Pokhara's most exclusive resort – and one of Nepal's finest hotels in any category. The Pavilions operates on an eco-luxury philosophy that is substantive rather than performative. The villas are built using locally quarried stone and reclaimed materials. Solar power, rainwater harvesting and grey water recycling are built into the infrastructure. The farm produces vegetables, eggs and dairy for the kitchen. Staff are predominantly from the local community. The footprint of the resort is genuinely small relative to the experience it provides. For environmentally conscious luxury travellers, it is the most complete property of its kind in Nepal.

The Pavilions Experience

Each villa has a private terrace with direct mountain views, a real fireplace for cooler evenings, a bathroom combining a deep soaking tub and rainfall shower, and locally crafted Nepali textiles and artwork throughout. The Bhetghat dining space – literally "meeting point" – serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with an emphasis on organic, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The spa treatments use custom-blended products made from wild-harvested and cultivated Himalayan plants. Activities range from guided farm walks and cooking classes to paragliding, boat trips on Phewa Lake and day excursions to Pokhara's cultural sites.
